Arveena Sharma
Arveena Sharma is Counsel in the Restructuring & Insolvency practice at Chandhiok & Mahajan. She has over 11 years of experience advising domestic and international clients on complex restructuring, insolvency, distressed acquisitions, and special situations. Her practice also encompasses schemes of arrangement, corporate reorganisations, shareholder disputes, and oppression and mismanagement matters.
Arveena has advised on several of India's most significant restructuring and insolvency mandates, including playing a key role in the resolution process of India's first airline insolvency under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. She has extensive experience representing resolution professionals, resolution applicants, financial and operational creditors, and corporate debtors across a broad range of sectors, including aviation, edtech, pharmaceuticals, real estate, manufacturing, and financial services.
She has been recognised as an IFLR1000 Rising Star for Restructuring & Insolvency for two consecutive years (2024–2025 and 2025–2026) and is also recognised by The Legal 500 as a Recommended Lawyer for Insolvency & Restructuring.
Arveena is an active member of the restructuring and insolvency community. She serves on the Young Practitioners Committee of INSOL India and is a member of INSOL International and the India Network of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC). She is also an alumna of the INSOL International Future Leaders Programme (2023–2024) and regularly contributes to the profession through speaking engagements, publications, and industry initiatives.
